Abandoned carts are orders that customers started placing but did not complete. In ecom.md you can track and work with such baskets.

View abandoned carts

Go to Orders and Customers → Abandoned Carts. Here you will see:

  • Date and time the cart was created
  • Buyer contact details (if entered)
  • Cart contents (products, quantity, amount)
  • The stage at which the buyer stopped

Reasons for refusing to purchase

The main reasons why customers abandon carts:

  • High shipping costs
  • Inconvenient registration process (too many fields)
  • Lack of a suitable payment method
  • The buyer compares prices
  • Technical problems

How to reduce cart abandonment rate

Simplify your design

  • Minimize the number of required fields
  • Add the ability to register without registration
  • Make sure the mobile version works correctly

Be transparent

  • Show shipping costs before checkout
  • Indicate all available payment methods
  • Add return information

Motivate to complete the purchase

  • Set up an email reminder for abandoned cart
