Correctly setting up payment methods is an important step before launching a store. Several payment types are available at ecom.md.
Available payment methods
Payment upon receipt (cash on delivery)
The simplest way does not require integrations. The buyer pays for the order upon receipt in cash or by card to the courier.
Settings: Go to Site Settings → Cart → Payment Methods and enable “Cash on Delivery”.
Bank transfer
The buyer receives payment details and transfers funds through the bank.
Settings: Enter your bank details in the “Bank Transfer” payment method settings.
Online payment by card
To accept online payments, you need to connect one of the payment integrations:
- MAIB is the main bank for Internet acquiring in Moldova
- Victoriabank - an alternative bank for accepting payments
- Netopia - payment system for Romania
- Stripe — international payments (Visa, Mastercard)
- PayPal - international payments

Payment in installments
For purchases on credit/installments, connect:
- Iute Credit - crediting purchases
- Other lending partners
Display settings
For each payment method you can:
- Set a title and description
- Load icon
- Specify the minimum order amount
- Enable or disable for certain delivery regions
Recommendations
- Start with cash payments - it doesn’t require setting up integrations
- Connect online payment to increase conversion
- Indicate all available methods - the more choice, the more convenient it is for the buyer
