When to use Netopia
Netopia is suitable for stores operating in the Romanian market. Supports cards from Romanian and international banks.
Connection
Step 1: Registration
- Register on the Netopia Payments website
- Create a merchant account
- Fill in the company data (CUI, legal address, bank details)
- Wait for review and approval
Step 2: Obtaining keys
After approval you will receive:
- Signature (merchant signature)
- Public and private encryption keys
- Access to the test environment (Sandbox)
Step 3: Setting up in ecom.md
Go to Integrations → Netopia:
- Enter Signature
- Download encryption keys
- Set up notification URL (IPN)
- Enable Sandbox mode for testing
Step 4: Testing
- Use test cards from Netopia documentation
- Check successful and unsuccessful payments
- Make sure returns work correctly
Step 5: Transition to production
- Disable Sandbox mode
- Make a real payment
- Check the reporting in your Netopia account
