Trade-In is a feature that allows customers to exchange an old product for a discount when purchasing a new one. This is a popular tool for electronics and hardware stores.
How Trade-In works
- The buyer selects a new product on the website
- Press the “Trade-In” button and fill out the exchange form
- Indicates the model of the old device and its condition
- Receives a preliminary discount estimate
- Brings in an old device and gets a discount on purchase
Trade-In setup
Go to Marketing → Trade-In to configure.
Basic parameters
- Product categories – for which categories Trade-In is available (smartphones, laptops, tablets)
- Evaluation conditions—condition criteria (excellent, good, satisfactory)
- Discount amounts - percentage or fixed discount amount depending on the condition
Application form
Set up form fields:
- Device model
- Year of manufacture
- Status (select from list)
- Photos (optional)
- Contact details
Processing Trade-In applications
Applications are displayed in Marketing → Trade-In Applications:
- View device information
- Rate the device and assign a discount
- Contact buyer to confirm
- Apply a discount to your order
