To quickly update product data, it is possible to download the necessary products in Excel format, make the necessary changes in it and download the file back to update the data.
Steps to download Excel file:
- Open a page with all products - Lists of products
- Select the desired list of products or all products
- In the functionality menu below, select the option “Get products in EXCEL format” and click the “Run” button
- This file is downloaded to your device
File fields to update:
- Name: product name in all site languages
- Description: product description in all site languages
- Brief description: a brief description of the product in all languages of the site
- Slug: product URL in all site languages
- Code: product article
- Product ID: this is the product ID for which the data is updated (it cannot be touched)
- Brand ID: ID of the brand from the admin to which this product belongs
- CategoryId: ID of the category from the admin to which this product belongs; there can be several - added separated by commas (example: 6533,6701,6645)
- Category: name of the category to which the product belongs
- Product price: can only be numbers
- Old product price: can only be numbers
- Unit of measurement: unit of measurement for this product in all languages of the site; will be displayed next to the price
- Quantity: quantity of goods in stock; there can only be numbers
- Active: display or hide the product on the site; The only values that can be set are True - display the product and False - hide the product
- Keywords: necessary keywords to improve search
- SEO title: page title in meta tags for indexing and promotion in all site languages
- SEO description: description of the page in meta tags for indexing and promotion in all languages of the site
- SEO keywords: keywords for the page in meta tags for indexing and promotion in all languages of the site
Required fields:
*Name * Product ID - if it is filled in, do not change it * Category ID * Product price * Quantity * Active
After changing the required data, you need to upload the file using the following steps:
- Save all changes to a file
- Open a page with all products - Lists of products
- Select the button "Update products from file"
Select a file from our device and Save
Wait until “Product update has started” appears on the page
- Refresh the page after a few seconds and view our changes
This functionality allows you to update data about existing products and add new products to the admin.
Important! For existing products, the Product ID field is not changed/removed.
